This past Tuesday MATADORA got together with some friends to work on the future of the band. We have insisted the help of Daniel "Madman Behemoth" Sixto, and Joel Matos, to help us on our mission.

As of right now, we are currently working on two story lines for our project. One story will focus on the present timeline of the story. This story will become an animated feature, while our second story will be presented as a live show.

Each of the two stories are intertwined.

We are fully aware of the the size of the project we are undertaking. Because we want to be just right, we do not have an expected date of release for either portion of the project. Please be patient with us.

We will do our best to continue to update our site with any bits of info we may have available for you.

In the mean time, we ask that you check out our friend Anthony Sixto's current project, Box-o-Zombies:

We hope to be working with Anthony on our animated portion of our story lines.

Yup, we're still chugging along...

I know, it's been some time since you've heard anything from us.

We are looking for a drummer. We have some friends and acquaintances who have shown an interest in helping us.

As for now, don't forget to check out Hex's project with Justine from My Velouria and Al, previously from The Reception, Everlene. They will be playing on November 4th in Chicago.

What's the deal?!

As many have heard, our drummer, Chris has decided to leave the band.  We thank him for all the help he has given to us.  With out him we wouldn't realize what potential MATADORA really has.  He showed

We wish him well.

Now, on to the future of MATADORA...

There has been a lot of talk about what the next step for MATADORA is going to be.  For a short time there was even a hint of ending the band.

After taking a short time to clear our heads and really think about what we wanted to archive as a group, we finally have a clear idea of the future of MATADORA.

We have decided to take our music to a different level.  Although we can't say much at this time, we can sure you that out idea is huge.

Right now we are in the process of talking to people who are willing to make our goal happen.

Yesterday we had a band meeting with the main topic being our next move.

We plan on incorporating a new member.  With the addition of a new member we hope that we can fill in those little gaps we have left musically.

We also plan on renovating our practice space.  Lots of work to be done.  We have to fix the walls, paint and sound proof the walls.

We're also going to bring in Everlene to share our practice space with.

This evening we went over our slightly adjusted set for our show coming up on July 30th at the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Fest.

Time has been extremely tight for us so we haven't had a chance to work on any new songs.  We do have some parts and rifts started, but nothing that has evolved to anything, yet.

.:Snapshot Anthology:. is playing on Saturday at U.S. Beer Co., located on Clybourn just north of North Avenue.

Everlene will be playing on Tuesday at SubT on Tuesday.

Well hello readers!

We're trying something new for a little bit.  While we're working on getting our website up we're going to use our blog.  We feel it's an easier place to hear our song Ayahuasca, view our Twitter, and sign up for our mailing list.

We recently recorded our practice in order to start to write lyrics for our songs.  Don't worry, we're fully aware you want more vocals...

May we reccomend a blog?

Keep an eye out on this blog... its going to be magical!
